700 gr of apples
70 g of butter
300 gr of 00 flour
250 gr of sugar
1 glass of milk
1 sachet of baking powder
Peel and slice the apples into small pieces, sprinkling with the juice of a lemon to prevent them from becoming dark.
In the meantime, beat the egg whites until stiff and beat the egg yolks with the sugar.
Add the softened butter to the eggs and whip.
Pour a glass of milk and mix until the dough is smooth and homogeneous.
Now add the sprinkle flour with the baking powder and the grated lemon zest.
Incorporate the egg whites until stiff.
Finally add the apples to the dough.
Incorporate the apples into the dough, then pour the apple pie mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan 24 cm diameter.
Cover the apple pie with apple slices and a few curls of butter.
Bake the cake in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes at 180 ° C.
Allow the apple pie to cool before serving.
