Ingredients for 15 Empanadas

For the dough:

Flour 350 gr

Extra virgin olive oil 15 gr

Warm water 175 ml

Salt 5 gr

For the filling:

Ham /Prosciutto Cotto 200 gr

Egg 1

Swiss or Provolone cheese or Mozzarella 200 gr

Pepper and Salt just enough

To brush:

Egg 1


Pour the flour and extra virgin olive oil into a large bowl, then add the salt previously dissolved in the water. Knead by hand until a smooth and homogeneous dough is obtained which does not stick to the bowl.

Form a ball, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes. On a work top surface, roll out the dough into a very thin sheet and with a 10 cm pasta bowl (or glass), make circles.

Fill each circle with a teaspoon of filling previously made mixing the cut ham, cheese, egg, salt and pepper.

Brush the edges with water and close in half, pressing well to seal the edges with the help of a fork. Place the Empanadas on the plate lined with parchment paper and brush them with the beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven at 170 ° for about 15 minutes.
